All roads led to the prestigious Clayton Hotel, Chiswick – London, on Friday, 29th October, for this year’s Panache Global Entertainment UK 2021 Heroes Awards Night.
Themed ‘Progress With Compassion’, award recipients were nominated by the public and are a blend of ages, professions, cultures and achievements. This year’s event was organised to honour selected nominees, who had selflessly contributed in one way or another to supporting their communities during the pandemic period. A time which the world now refers to as the most unprecedented period in history, so far.
Among the award recipients was Maureen Layokun, the Publisher of Charming Magazine.
The sold-out event was an awesome night of glitz and glamour. In attendance were top dignitaries, royalty, community leaders, and celebrities from home and abroad, some of whom endured hours of air travel down to the U.K., to be a part of this annual spectacular event.
Guests present include: Mr. George Tenessee Nimely – Chief of Staff (Representing Her Excellency Chief Dr Jewel Howard Taylor, Vice President of Liberia), Hon. Molewuleh B. Gray – Chairman, National Investment Commission, Mr. Richmond O. Neufville – Press Secretary, Mr. Moses Mooney – Chief of Protocol, Liberia Embassy UK, Mr Albert Jaja for the Ambassador, Ms Jemoh Kun, and Ms Sarah Southwell (Special Adviser to the Nigerian Ambassador).
Also in attendance were Mr. Virender Sharma, MP Southall, Mr Rajes Srivastava, Dr. Renu Raj, CEO & Founder Radanks Limited UK, Mr Alan Rides, Chair Hounslow Chamber of commerce, Cllr Seema Kumar, Women Leader for Conservative women group London, Fluer Butler, Conservatives women organisation National Chairman in politics and Leader of Richmond District Council, Councillor Peter Crerar and Norma Francis-Crerar, former Mayor and Mayoress of Rushmoor Borough Council, and Hon. Dr Elisha Attai, AWLO President Worldwide.
With four seasoned Masters of Ceremony – Moses Efreit (USA), MC Mark (UK), Maxine Griffiths (UK), and Rose Peter-Graham ( UK) compering at the event, the slogan ‘African Time’ had no bearing on the night.
The prelude to the event began at 4.00pm with a Meet & Greet / Red-carpet photo session and networking reception. As scheduled, the presentation of different categories of the ‘Covid Heroes’ Awards, commenced immediately after the introduction and welcome speeches of the CEO of Panache Awards, Princess Peace Essien, and other key guests.
A three-course meal with an assortment of drinks was served indiscriminately to guests. There was never a dull moment, with lots of side attractions, including performances from a former X-factor contestant, and a host of other budding artists.
The highlights of the night was the Founder/Organiser, Princess Peace Essien, engaging in her native dance steps with members of her family and close friends from Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
Guests had their turn on the dance floor to a music compilation by DJ Bomzy before the event came to an end.
In a chat with Charming Magazine, Princess Peace expressed her thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed to this year’s success. She confirmed plans for Panache Global Entertainment Awards 2022 are already afoot.
The Charming crew wishes the Panache Team all the very best for the future.
